Proof of I.D and Income

Before our team approves your loan, we need to see identification to prove who you are and proof of your income.
This is a vital part in understanding your circumstances and to help us complete your loan application.

Proof of I.D

If you have not dealt with us in the last 6 months, we’ll need to see the following:

1 Photo I.D (UK or Foreign, within date)

  • Passport (UK or Foreign)
  • Photo-card Driving Licence (UK or EU, full or provisional)
  • E.U. Member State Identity Card
  • Shotgun Licence or Firearms Certificate
  • Northern Ireland Electoral ID Card / Voters Card
  • ID card for foreign nationals
1 Proof of Address (dated within the last 3 months)

  • Council Tax letter
  • Utility bill
  • Polling Card
  • Employment Support Allowance letter
  • Child benefit or child tax credit letter
  • Personal Independence letter
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance letter

Proof of income

The documentation we need to see all depends on your personal circumstances. Below we have listed some of the most common documents we see (All document must be dated withing the last 40 days unless stated otherwise). All our loans are subject to affordability.


  • Recent payslips
  • P60 (dated within the latest tax year)
  • Contract of employment
  • Letter from employer
  • Offer of employment


  • A letter showing the benefits you receive (DWP or Jobcentre Plus Benefit Award letter)
  • Child Benefit, Child Tax Credits (HMRC Letter, Child/Working Tax Credit Letter)
  • Child Benefit (Post Office Card Account Statement)
  • Working Tax Credits or Guardian’s Allowance
  • Housing Benefit (Paid to Tenant Only)
  • DWP Letter / Jobcentre Plus Benefit Award Letter or Confirmation Letter / Remittance Advice, dated within the year of the date of your application
